spotlight on Burma

In a sobering article in TIME magazine, field correspondent Andrew Marshall implies that the brief, exuberant pro-democracy uprising in Burma has come to an end. I hope that is not the case, but even if it is so, it is noteworthy - and uplifting - to know that this isn't the first occasion of government suppression in Burma, and that another revolution will come again, and again, unrtil real change occurs. For now, be inspired by Burmese Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi's famous 1990 speech: "Freedom From Fear."
